Elizabeth Ellen Leathers
Birth Date: 7 Mar 1807 Leeds, Androscoggin, ME
Cemetery: Line Cemetery
Burial Place: Leeds, Androscoggin, Maine
This grave is unmarked. The Line cemetery, also called the Leathers cemetery, is located on the old homestead of Aaron Leathers. His gravestone is the only one with writing. The other graves are marked by field stones. There are no "official" records of who else is buried here. However in the early 1900s Ann Pinkham (1842-1929) provided a list to Albert S. Bryant of the people she knew were buried here. She had lived in this neighborhood her whole life, and knew the families.
One of the names included in this list was "Lizzie" Leathers, who must have been Elizabeth, who was listed in as an heir in her father's 1832 will. She was listed as an heir in her father's will so must have lived until at least 1832. The Day genealogy said she never married.
